2022 Anarchy Merlot

"If you haven't been paying attention to Mayhem, now is the time to tune in. What I've tasted this year has impressed across the board, but winemaker Ajay Chavan really shines with the Anarchy tier. This is Okanagan merlot at its best. It's a full throttle, extracted style, but it works with the lush Osoyoos fruit from Anarchist Mountain Vineyard. Expect dark plum, macerated cherries, and thorny blueberries, with chocolate and sweet oak spice (38% new French oak) that works just about perfectly with the fruit. It's dense and youthful, with firm grained tannins, but this is a blockbuster to lay down and revisit in 5-7 years." Geoffrey Moss, Gismondi On Wine
